When cooked, ripe breadfruit tastes a lot like potato and has a similar texture.
Its aroma is often compared to the smell of baked bread.
The fruit has a custardy, bread-like taste and much higher levels of sweetness. Its texture is very soft and mushy.
Can be roasted, baked and fried. Great with Ackee & Saltfish (Codfish).
On an average our breadfruit can weigh between 3 to 5 pounds per fruit.
